New Monitor

Well I did it. I’ve finally bought myself a new monitor, I’ve been on about it for ages, and finally got fed up of the naff colours on my old home one.

It is a gorgeous Sony one, with an x-black screen. mmmmmmmmm, my Sony laptop has a lot to answer for, it does, it’s the thing that made me love that sort of screen - that and the fact designing websites and image editing is great on that screen-type.

It had better arrive tomorrow.

The site is finally back

After weeks of being offline, and my data seemingly lost, I have spent a few hours restoring the data and now we’re back in action–and if it goes offline again I now have a current back that is compatible with my system.

I have lost a few posts as anyone who regularly reads will notice, but they’re not recoverable. So now we’re back online.

Abandoning the current design

Anyway, some of you might have I haven’t been blogging a whole lot lately. That’s because I’m doing a massive change to my website - so massive, I’m not keeping the current content - so keep watching folks, might be in the next week. I’m hoping my blog entries I currently have will migrate to my new system (fingers crossed anyway) and I have also decided to buy a new domain name - but I won’t tell you what it is just yet!

Projects

For the last few weeks when I’ve found time I’ve been knitting a scarf on 4mm needles in Grey Rowan Tweed. I have to say, beautiful wool, gorgeous to knit, and the size is creating a wonderful texture - it’s just taking me bloody ages!! Have decided I have to really get on with it and get it done, as I have 2 other projects lined up. I’m in the process of doing a nice hat in Rowan Biggy Print (gorgeous stuff) and I want to do a bag in Purple Rowan Big Wool - another good thing lately about my knitting too - I have finally gotten the complete hang of purling, can’t says it’s my fave sort of knitting yet, but I’m not bad at it. I also seriously contemplating turning my blog into a “knitting blog”, at least then my blog would have a point, and I’d feel like blogging then. On another note, I’m also learning how to write php to completely re-do my blog. It’s time I learned. Hmmmm all this stuff to do, wonder when I’m going to have spare time to breath

News

I’ve been sick of burning stuff, so I’ve been figuring out how to cook. I’m quite impressed with myself really (and my bero book!). I do seem to make a cracking chocolate caramel shortbread, and my risotto ain’t bad, and I’ve just done rice pud-not bad eh? That isn’t all I can cook though - I’ve loads of other various things too -I just felt they are the highlights When my mother comes to visit I’m planning on getting some tips off her - I think she would be quite amused that I’m starting to be interested in cooking - it’s never been my thing.
