The new hobby

Is coming along great guns! I’ve got 25 inches into a scarf. When I was in Hull I was asked by my bro to make him a new scarf, and my niece Ellie wants a little pink bag, so I’ve got enough projects to last me I think. Hull also has some cracking wool shops. As my mother used to knit when I was younger, my father and Graham ended up being dragged around various craft shops :) Graham’s mentioned something about going shopping in Cardiff at some point for Christmas, so I’m hoping Cardiff have some good wool shops.

Hull

Went away to Hull with Graham for a few days to see all the family and do some Christmas shopping. Had lotsa fun, went out to various places with the family. I also met up with some old school friends of mine, Ella and James. It was really good to see them again, and after a bottle of wine and a good laugh they got their tandem out (a 2 people bike - for those of you who don’t know what one is), so 10pm Friday night, I was going down their street with James on the back of their tandem. It was a little scary as on the back of a tandem you have no control over the bike. That was the strangest thing I’ve done in a while I’ll tell you. (Graham wasn’t brave enough to go on the tandem - scaredy cat).

Cheeky

Graham: Fancy an apple juice? Amy: Yes please Graham: Get me one too? He is soo cheeky. {and no, I didn’t go get him one :) }

Cue Neighbours music

Had good weekend - finally met our new neighbours who live in one of the other flats on our floor, so Graham and I and our neighbours spent a nice saturday night talking with a couple of bottles of wine. Very nice. I’m also learning to knit from today. I found a beginners kit and book in Marks and Spencers and after much frustration have figured out how to cast on. Yay.
