Website changes

For those of you who have seen my site before - you will notice that there have been changes made to the menu system and the structure of the website. Unfortunately through testing I have found a minor bug when using it in Firefox but i’m hoping to get that fixed soon. I decided a while ago to move away from using Javascript buttons to using html/css buttons. This is generally much more accessible.

This weekend

Hasn’t been a bad weekend really. Yesterday Graham and I went to our first Tai Chi session. I’ve never waved my arms around so much before. Today we went to see the new Wallace and Gromit film, it’s really funny, but the cinema was of course crammed with kids, and the cinema had dodgy speakers, so the film kept going quiet sometimes (you’d think for £6.50 per ticket, they’d get it right, but there you go). (Oh, and it looks like the bad weather is really starting to set in.)

French

I’ve decided it’s time to expand my education. Afterall I am a member of staff in Modern Languages - it’s time I learned more than English I think. I’ve been mulling over French for some time, so I’ve decided to download one of those learn as you listen audiobooks from iTunes. It will at least teach me a few phrases. People at uni keep on about the lessons run at the uni that staff can take, but there’s no way I’ll have the motivation to be forced into “homework” or scheduled learning - not afer being out of uni so long, and with not having a lot of personal time anyway, so I’m opting for the sort I can listen whilst walking to work, or on my lunch break. Fingers crossed the money spent isn’t a waste.
