Eurovision!!!

Eurovision, probably one of the funniest programs all year, Terry Wogan’s comments are just great! Everyone sat ready? I certainly am. EDIT: uh oh!! I voted Moldova for sympathy, and they’re in the running with high points so far….

Give me strength!!!

Grrrr Linux!!! I’ve gotten about half way now in installing the Linux stuff, but it’s being really fiddly lately. On another front, the holiday to Devon is booked! Yay! I can’t wait….and no camping for us either. My parents are coming for a few days to stay with us too. It’s going to be soooooo relaxing.

Further on….just

Well, I’ve installed Linux ok, I’ve installed Java and sorted out the fiddly bits with that. Tomorrow I’m going to start on Apache Ant{sigh}…don’t ask. Think I’ve got my head around it now, it’s taken quite a bit of net research though. This had better be worth it. I really want to get the thing up and running. I’m a third way through, so can’t give up really :/

Right….so….Redhat!?!?

No, I haven’t bought a red hat. I’m installing Redhat. Linux to be precise. The boss wants something running for our department, but we need Linux to do, so I kinda self volunteered doing it….well, that, and there’s no one else who can/will do it. This will be very interesting, cos I’ve never administered a Linux machine before, let alone tried to install the operating system. This is only the first step though, I’ve got umpteen other things to install before getting the end product that my boss wants working {sigh} - back to it I suppose :)
