Job

I got a job today. I am now a Learning Technologist. Cool eh? Plus I got a pay rise (that was even better news!)

Work interview done

Had my work interview today. To cut a long story short, I mixed up the day I was having it on, I’d been told wednesday last week when it was actually today, and I mis-read the letter. No worries though. I went home at lunch and had a nice hour or two break and got ready. I decided to get to Avenue early (as I might get a peek at the other candidates!! but I didn’t so oh well). Considering I wasn’t having a great day today, it went quite well (I got tongue tied in one bit though!). At the moment I’m sat in Graham’s office blogging on wireless, I have to say this Again I think, my viao rocks! Oh, and thank heavens the work application/interview process is over!

Just found a couple of…

… really good sayings on a friends website: “None of us does terrible things, we just do silly things.” “Most of us are not sinners, we’re just not very good people.” In this day and age, I think they’re quite relevant, gives food for thought really.

Well, we have been busy

I have been writing some real rubbish in my blog lately, so decided to re-write things. As you may remember I said about a work application for my job some time ago. I handed that in this week, so all is good with work really, well, I say that in the application form sense! I’m swamped with work otherwise. On another front, my new laptop is absolutely great!!! Wireless is fantastic! Also at the moment I can’t decide whether to go see my sister at Easter, but as there is a slight accommodation problem at the moment, I’m trying to get in touch with her about it (she seems to have sorted it for me-but I?ve got to confirm me going of course!), but trying to get in touch with her, even by phone is almost impossible, as her boyfriend has no landline, and neither does she when she’s not at work, and she lives in a place where she can’t get ANY mobile phone reception. Back to the dark ages huh!!! I was also surprised to learn this week, that 2 old school mates are getting married (after I checked out their blog) I can’t believe it! It’s certainly good news and I wish all the best Ella and James. My sister also got engaged a couple of weeks ago (as well as it being her 21st birthday) hence why I want to go see her at Easter, I want to see that ring!!! - apparently it’s lovely. Well fingers crossed I can sort out my staying with my sister. I love Lynmouth to bits, and really want to get away from citys at the moment. The fast, busy life is doing my head in. Think I need somewhere where I don?t hear the traffic (and I don’t get tempted to shop).

New lappy

The new lappy really is ace! I can switch it on anywhere in the flat or on Avenue campus at the university and not have to worry about needing a network cable to join the network or get on the web! (Right now I’m in the kitchen cooking tea and sorting my work stuff out) This laptop really is brilliant. I’m really glad I got it.
