I Love Fridays

Weekend coming up! I’ve only actually been at work days this week as I was away for one day and sick the other, but the 3 days this week have dragged. Graham and I are off to see Shark’s tale this weekend (if the cinema isn’t too full). Graham is also at an interview today. I think he’ll do quite well, he’s taken some example work with him, which should go down well. I have also seen a job within Soton Uni that I’m thinking of going for. It sounds more interesting than what I do at the moment. I got a few months contract a bit ago with my current job (instead of being on temp bank), so I get paid a lot more until Xmas, but if the department doesn’t get funding then my job ends :( Oh well, that’s life I suppose.

My little friends

I got these silly little things from Lynmouth while I was away, they’re quite cute, and bounce if I flick them!

Back at work

Well, I think its going to be “one of those weeks”. Had a great few days off down at Devon with my sister, Graham and his parents. Graham and his parents arrived on the Friday of the last weekend and spent the weekend there too. Weather wasn’t too good but it doesn’t really make a whole lot of difference at Lynmouth, I still love the place. Now I’m back at work. One good thing about work is that I’m contracted till Xmas, I get paid a whole lot more for a couple of months, which is great! I can afford Xmas now. The bad thing is that I’ve received more email in the few days that I’ve been away, than I have in one week when I was actually here. ..Anyway, back to sifting through it. Don’t you just know it’s mostly gonna be flagged up as needing action, so it’s going to need a lot of the day to get it all complete (rolls eyes).

Devon and my sister Susan

Had quite a good week (well, I’m not counting work of course!). I took a couple of days off at the beginning of last week, as my sister (Susan) and her boyfriend (who live in Devon), came to visit for a couple of days. It was fun, we went and did quite a bit of shopping and went out for a meal the night before she left. The meal was supposed to be Portuguese (I think) but oddly enough it was more like Italian…v v strange. Now Graham and I are organising going away soon to Devon with Graham’s parents for a weekend. I am going to go away earlier as we are going to Lynmouth, where my sister Susan lives and I’m going to spend some time with my sis before Graham and his parents arrive. I can’t wait, the last thing to do is to get my train ticket and then it’s all go!!
