Friday, hurry Friday

Am looking forward to Friday. I have managed to wangle the day off and apparently the following monday is bank holiday so I’ve got a whole 4 days off work. mmmmm sleep. Think I’ll go to the cinema a couple of times over the 4 days, as there’s a couple of films I want to see.

What a week

This weekend my parents are coming to visit - I’m really looking forward to it. The only times they’ve been in the flat so far are when they were dropping me off at Southampton. My brother is also coming down. I’m not sure Graham is looking forward to it as I am, I think he’s worred about how we’ll all fit in the flat, but it’ll be ok. He worries too much about things like that. The Olympics are doing my head in. They remind me of times that I’d rather not remember so I have not been having a great week. The weather is miserable and a video I ordered for my Mum (to arrive in time for their visit) has not arrived and is lost in the post.GRRR. Although while the Olympics are on (Graham likes to watch it), I’ve got rather into my Wario game again and look forward to playing it when I get home from work (as sad as it sounds). The washer for the block of flats still hasn’t been fixed and it is costing us a small fortune in pounds coins at the launderette, which is very annoying. Friday is officially laundry day now.

I, Robot - brilliant film!

Well, this last weekend was ok. A good old regular weekend, did a bit of shopping, needed some new tops so went and bought some from M&S. I never realised their t-shirts were such good prices!! Graham and I also went to see “I, Robot” at cinema. I haven’t seen a film that has awed me like it did for a long while. It was fantastic! For me definitely a “buy on DVD film” I now really want to know whether the storyline is based at all on Isaac Asimov’s book “I, Robot”. It probably isn’t. I have a few of Asimov’s books but don’t have that one; it could be a good read I think. Today it’s throwing down with rain and thundering. I think I’ve also finally finished arguing with something called “SCORM” for work (phew…I’ve been messing with it for about 2 weeks). Sometimes work is a pain. Ok then, you’ve got me there then, most of the time. :)
