Well Nothing Much Happened Lately…

I moved office at work - moving office is hellish isn’t it? All settled in now - phone line connected too!!! but it completely disrupted my regular work :(

In other news, I’m starting the intermediate swim lessons soon - heyho - if I’m going to swim I may as well do it competely properly. I’m starting them tomorrow and really looking forward to it. Got a really good instructor. She’s taught the most anti-swimming person to swim - she really has performed a miracle :D

And…ALSO learning to drive too!! It’s all go here. Had my first lesson yesterday…and errr…I managed to start the car and drive in a straight line. In.a.nutshell I didn’t crash. I suppose I will feel more confident in further weeks.

Swimming

Ok….so I’ve been learning to swim the last few weeks. I never learnt it as a kid, so thought at 25 I’d better get to it, let’s face it, if I’m going to go on sun sea and sand hols to sunny places then I’d better be able to use the pool I pay for for in my hol eh?

So I’ve been learning at Southampton University Sports Centre and it’s been going well. Least I won’t drown anymore so that’s a bonus.

Fun Size Twixes

According to Graham - they’re not actually fun.

Hmmm… I think he doesn’t like the idea that he can eat it in one gulp maybe hehe!

Cardiff

Graham and I went in the car at the weekend to visit Graham’s parents. It’s his Mums birthday soon so we thought it would be a nice to go give pressies in person. Weather was reasonably good most of the time (though it did rain quite a while on Sunday) and we went to a couple of beaches too (piccies to follow). Second one was a bit chilly - I really do have to get around to getting a new winter coat (I’d wear my old one except I’ve had to charity shop all my old coats cos they drown me seeing as I’ve lost so much weight now).

We also went to Ikea on Monday (so forgive me if I rave :D ). I love that store. We got our new dinner set while we were there. Our old one we were given by my mother as we didn’t have one and (I think??!?) it was second hand when she got it too - so it’s fair to say it’s had a good share of re-use - it was in excellent nick till I got my hands on it - now it’s got more chips in it than a fish shop has potatoes :) Anyway in a nutshell the only dinner sets Graham and I have EVER agreed on are the ones that you seem to need a bank loan for :o (John Lewis prices can give a person a heart attack) but now we’ve found one in Ikea - and it was a bargain price too so you can’t beat that. Incidentally, it’s almost the same colour (without us realising at the time) of our new towel set we got at a bargain price a few weeks back - weird bit of coincidence there - I only realised when we got home, so at least a little of our flat looks co-ordinated.
